We are delighted to host the third annual Southwest Dharma Celebration
at Kadampa Meditation Center Texas (KMC TX). Inspired by Ven. Geshe
Kelsang Gyatso, renowned Buddhist Master and founder of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), this Celebration is a wonderful opportunity for people throughout the region to gather together to receive
uplifting teachings and meet like-minded friends.
Dallas is a special place for the NKT-IKBU. It was Ven. Geshe-la’s first home in the US, where he lived from 1994-97. During this time, he established Vajradakini Buddhist Center - now KMC TX - and wrote the acclaimed Buddhist text, Essence of Vajrayana.
It is Ven. Geshe-la’s wish that through the International Temples Project (ITP) he has established, Kadampa Temples dedicated to inner and outer peace will appear to help people in every major city in the world. Because the ITP is funded in part by donations and proceeds from Dharma Celebrations like this one, we become part of this compassionate vision just by attending. Please join us!
